Dr. Shuya Bailey’s dental journey was inspired by Christian dentist Dr. Yu’s life testimony book called A LIFE OF AMAZING GRACE. Dr. Yu is a Spirit filled Christian whom God has used to heal many people physically and spiritually in China. While the young Dr. Bailey was seeking God’s guidance on the direction of her future, she came across the testimony book which enlightened her professional path. With Gods guidance and help, Dr. Bailey graduated from the university of Maryland school of dentistry. After living in Baltimore for 12 years, she came to Memphis for her AEGD dental residency program in 2019, where she got married and settled. She has been working at different background dental offices from FQHC to corporate. Dr. Bailey has gained experience in different treatments including surgical, endodontic, restorative, fixed and removable dental procedures. She also performs some of the harder procedures like wisdom teeth extractions, implant placement and certain types of molar root canals. In her spare time, Dr. Bailey attends church fellowship and worship with her husband, enjoys playing with her cats and does some volunteer work. Dr. Bailey has been on Christian mission trips to Honduras and Guatemala.
